Description
Victor Hugo is in a gated highly secure development that lives up to its prestigious address. Modern furniture, a first class kitchen and two bathrooms are impressive. Add to this a spacious 22 square metre balcony with outside dining for four, plus lounge area and space to spare and you will be hard pushed to leave this holiday haven.

LIVING AREA
The open plan lounge area is light and airy and has a three seater sofa, armchair, air conditioning and tiled floors. You can enjoy 37” HD widescreen LCD TV, Internet access, DVD that plays European PAL and American NTSC and a CD player. Don’t forget there is also the outdoor lounge area on the superbly spacious balcony, perfect for reading and relaxing in the sun.
KITCHEN & DINING AREA
The kitchen is of a very high quality with granite work surfaces and a lot of thought put into it. You not only have a fridge-freezer, but a wine fridge also. Our recommendation is to stock up on superb local vino to enjoy on the balcony! There is a large combination microwave/oven and grill big enough to cook a pizza in and electric hob, dishwasher, washing machine, electric kettle, toaster and cafetière.
There is a dining table for four with leather chairs in the open plan living area or table for 4 outside on the balcony.
BEDROOMS
There are two bedrooms, all with air conditioning and large wardrobe storage space. There is one large double bedroom and standard one double bedroom. They both have double glazed windows and doors leading out onto the large balcony.
BATHROOM
There is one bathroom with full size bath and overhead shower and vanity sink area. There is also a shower room with sink and toilet.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This apartment operates an air conditioning system which is activated by building maintenance. This system provides coolant in the summer months and heating in the winter months. These systems are normally switched over in mid-May but this may be subject to change which is out of our control.
Situated below the apartment on the ground floor there is a primary school, there may be additional noise between the hours of 9am - 3pm at break times.

Boulevard Victor Hugo is situated in the wealthy area of Carré d’Or which is full of some of the finest hotels in Nice, making this apartment incredible value in comparison to its neighbouring accommodation. You are a moments walk away from the main high street Avenue Jean Médecin and shopping in two of the best food halls in Nice. You will find yourself a few blocks back from the beach and next to one of the leafiest exclusive shopping streets in Nice – Rue Alphonse Karr. The Old Town is approximately a 7 minute walk across the impressive Place Masséna.
All our homes are gorgeous but they all have their quirks so to ensure the perfect stay for you then here’s a home truth - there is a school nearby so there may be some noise out of class on week days, except Wednesdays, during school terms.
PARKING
There is valuable parking in a locked garage at Victor Hugo, the entrance is at rue Paul Deroulede. There is car hire available at the SNCF station and also the city electric car rental ‘auto bleue’ which allows electric cars to be charged, parked and left in many places in and around the city.
Max vehicle height is 2 metres.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses.
Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur.
Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port.
Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre.
Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.70 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.

Great restaurants on every corner, wonderful shopping and 500 meters to the sea. The apartment is sunny and bright, including a large terrace. An elevator, the underground garage (closed garage!) Leads directly to the apartment and the beautiful attractive building made our stay just perfect. Gosia was super friendly?.? We would definitely like to spend our next stay in Nice there.

Apartment: huge balcony, complete equipped kitchen plus extra fridge for wine bottles, two similar bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with shower and toilet other with bathtub), a parking spot (which we didn’t need) – all in all we had a great stay and would recommend to others location: everything nearby, close to tram, old town, beach and jazz festival approx. 10 minutes by foot, main train station in walking distance (bus 99 to airport) – it was very comfortable to have everything you would need in a close walking distance recommendations: at the main train station you can leave your luggage, when you depart late, food: try "le comptoir du marché" and "hangout"

The apartment is comfortable, clean, you can easily walk to everything: shops, restaurants, Promenade Anglais. Supermarket 5 min away, boulangerie around the corner. Would definitely go back. It has two showers, very convenient for a family of four.

The weather was good so we made use of the balcony and had a couple of meals in. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking in the evening. The apartment manager who met us was very friendly and informative and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely go back to the apartment if we stayed in Nice again. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great stay at STAY YNA’s place. It is really central, so easy to get there from the airport with the tram to Jean-Médecin. Travelling with three kids meant we needed a child friendly place and it was really handy that we were able to rent cosee more
We had a great stay at STAY YNA’s place. It is really central, so easy to get there from the airport with the tram to Jean-Médecin. Travelling with three kids meant we needed a child friendly place and it was really handy that we were able to rent cots and high chairs as well as there being a bath in the bathroom and an elevator to get up to the apartment. The apartment is in a great area as it is an easy ten minute walk to the beach, the old town and the big supermarket Monoprix is just around the corner.

LOCATION
Carré D’or is a vibrant area of Nice which is in part pedestrianised. Close to the central city and the numerous shops on avenue Jean Medecin but only a short walk to the beach, Marechal Joffre is a highly sought after street containing many boutiques and designer shops. There are many exclusive restaurants, brasseries and cafes in the Carre D’or area making this one of the most popular quartiers amongst YNA guests. The maze of narrow streets know as the Old Town which contains many restaurants bars and shops is only a 5 minute walk away.

Parking Palmiera is actually the closest parking option since it’s on the same street
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses.
Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur.
Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port.
Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre.
Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.70 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.
