Massena enjoys a sunny balcony on the 5th floor floating above the bustling streets of central Nice with the beach a short 5 minute walk away. This one bedroom duplex has lift to make life easier and benefits from reversible air-conditioning to keep you warm in the winter and cool through the summer months, this is a great little place in the centre of town.

The mezzanine bedroom has a double-glazed, dormer window looking out across the rooftops, and is equipped with reading lamps and ample drawers as well as cupboard space to arrange your belongings.

Massena has a separate toilet and shower room for convenience, a heated towel rail and a space for your cosmetics below the basin.
OUTSIDE SPACE
The south facing balcony makes the most of the regions sunshine and fits a table and chairs for an alfresco breakfast or dinner, or just a glass of rose before venturing out to savour the city’s restaurants and nightlife.
LOCATION
On the main pedestrianised shopping street and surrounded by boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars, this is an ideal location for those wanting to be right where the action is, or right above it! Just 350m from the seafront, the gardens of Albert I and the Promenade du Paillon, and a hop and a skip from the Old Town, all of Nice’s attractions are on your doorstep.
PARKING
Rue Massena is pedestrianised but there are several car parks within easy walking distance of the apartment. the closest is Ruhl just next to the Meridian Hotel.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses.
Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur.
Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port.
Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre.
Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.70 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.

The Promenade des Anglais is just a short walk away, and the road itself, offers plenty of restaurants and shops. For two people the apartment is very suitable. It was good that detergent, a sponge, washing powder and shampoo and shower gel etc. was provided. We were very happy us about the welcome bag with chips, coffee, wine, sugar and coffee milk. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come back to this apartment.

The mezzanine is reached by a short flight of wooden stairs leading up from the lounge area and is below standing height.

LOCATION
The apartment looks over Rue Rossetti. From the balcony you have views of the beautiful domed Cathedral Sainte Réparate at one end and the tranquil Colline du Château at the other. You are in the heart of the Old Town so are surrounded by cafés, bars, ice cream parlous, galleries, shops and bistros. The market place on the Cours Saleya, the beach and promenade are a couple of minutes walk away.
PARKING
Free parking in Nice can be difficult to find. There is a pay as you go underground carpark at the Place du Palais, the entrance is on Rue Alexandre Mari. PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses.
Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur.
Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port.
Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre.
Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.70 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.
