Castlegregory is a renowned Irish seaside destination overlooked by Beenoskee and Stradbally Mountain. Castlegregory has something for everyone, families will love the long sandy beach at Brandon Bay, the Maharees need no introduction to surfers and the village itself has great nightlife with friendly lively pubs. Ferriters and Bolands are known for traditional music while Fitzgeralds has DJs most nights in the summer and weekends throughout the year. Castlegregory also has a supermarket, chemist, laundrette, The Beach Box (gift & toy shop), hairdressers, furniture shop, and is home to a surfboard shaper. Just outside the village there is a workshop for windsurf sail repairs. There are some excellent restaurants in the village serving fresh fish, quality Irish meat and vegetarian dishes and even Chinese food. Check out the Stay YNA App for our top tips
Castlegregory is a gateway to the sandy peninsula called the Maharees, a unique warren of sand dunes that connects every aquatic environment you could wish for – from the sheltered waters of Tralee Bay to the wild seas of Brandon Bay that are open to the North Atlantic and often receive long rolling swells, which can provide excellent surf given suitable wind and tide conditions making the area is a mecca for watersports, there’s great surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing, it hosts many competitions throughout the season. In contrast the other side of the spit, the blue flag beach at Sandy Bay offers activities for kids with snorkelling, dinghy sailing, kayaking, jet-skiing, a sea trampoline, pedal boats, etc. and is less than a 5 minute drive from the village.

This house is amazing pure and simple. The house is just as the pictures depict. It’s has everything you could need.. the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need.. all cooking utensils, coffee machine, pots pans, everything. The house is 5 minute walk from Tomasins pub. All restaurants in castleGregory do a take home and order out and delivery service. There is a spar shop in castleGregory.. 5 minutes away. The amazing beach is a 5 minute drive. Tralee is 25 minutes away and Dingle is 25 minutes the other way (via the spectacular but freaky connors pass ) or go via camp and annauscaul (40minutes) You have to stay here.!!!! Worth every penny.

Beautifully decorated and spacious house, with stunning views across Brandon Bay. The house is equipped with everything you would need a self catering holiday. Also plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area – we really enjoyed Gregory’s Garden restaurant and their Forge wood fired pizza place in Castlegregory. Tomasins pubs is 5 mins walk for decent food and a drink. Spillane’s in the Maharee’s was perfect for hearty fish & chips after surfing at Jamie Knox surf school. Dingle is also full of good cafe’s, restaurants and pubs. Netflix on the tv kept the kids happy in the evening, whilst my husband and I sat on the verandah watching the incredible sunsets behind Brandon Point. Mary from StayYNA was a great host – she gave us some great tips for local activities and places to eat. We hope to be back sometime in the near future.

We had a lovely stay at this home on the Dingle Peninsula. The house is immaculate, the kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the washer-dryer kept us in clean clothing for the duration of our visit (a serious benefit when your kid insists on running into the ocean with all their clothes on). There's a great pub a few minutes away with solid food, and the walk to the beach is picturesque and full of cows, which our kids loved. We had a great time.

LOCATION
Mount Brandon dominates the villages of Cloghane and Brandon, a welcoming community with a rich heritage of music, language, and dance. There are numerous walks to lakes, waterfalls, creeks, beaches, cliff walks and of course the unforgettable walk/climb up Mount Brandon. The beaches are so varied from the secret beach ‘Tra Bhan’ to Brandon Bay, the longest beach in Ireland which starts in Cloghane and runs for 13km to Castlegregory and the Maharees Peninsula
Cloghane has two great bar/ restaurants serving pub food. Brandon is centred around the activities of the Pier, swimming, fishing, drinking, eating, dolphin spotting, socialising. It’s a very special place and in the summer months full of activity with kids and sometimes adults jumping off the Pier, hiring boats, rowing curragh’s (traditional Irish boats made of heavy canvas and tar).
Fishing in the area is superb. The Owenmore River flows from its source in Mullach, down through the valley to the estuary of Cloghane and into Brandon Bay. The river is bursting with salmon and sea trout. The estuary, reached from Cappagh beach and Drom on the opposite side along with Fermoyle Beach are perfect for shore anglers looking for sea bass. There is nowhere as social to fish though as the pier in Brandon where you can get a refreshing pint of Guinness and a crab sandwich while reeling in the mackerel.

The bathroom on the ground floor is both functional and charming, featuring a shower, toilet, and sink. White tiled walls are accented with a subtle line of brown tiles, maintaining the rustic cottage character. The shower is separated from the toilet by a curtain, and greyscale floor tiles add a stylish, practical touch to the space.
OUTSIDE SPACE
The outdoor space at Dingle Farm House is designed for relaxation and enjoyment of the stunning countryside. A wooden table provides the perfect spot for alfresco dining while taking in uninterrupted views of the rolling green hills. Laundry facilities are conveniently kept separate in an outhouse, equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, keeping the main house clutter-free.
LOCATION
Tucked away on the scenic Dingle Peninsula, Kinard is a picturesque coastal area in County Kerry that captures the wild beauty of Ireland’s west coast. Known for its peaceful charm, Kinard offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, dramatic cliffs, and lush rolling farmland. The area is perfect for visitors looking to experience the authentic Irish countryside, far from the crowds.
One of Kinard’s most striking features is the sea stack known as An Searrach, which rises from the water just offshore and is a favorite spot for photographers and nature lovers. The nearby beaches—clean, quiet, and often deserted—are ideal for coastal walks, picnics, or simply soaking in the fresh sea air.
Kinard is also steeped in local culture and history. Traditional Irish music, language, and hospitality are part of everyday life here, especially with Dingle town just 10 minutes away. Visitors can enjoy day trips to explore artisan shops, enjoy fresh seafood, and take boat tours to see Fungie the dolphin’s legacy or spot marine wildlife.
Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a glimpse of true rural Ireland, Kinard is a serene and soulful destination that leaves a lasting impression.
