This is off the beaten path, but well worth it. We could just sit outside and see heaven all around us. At night the quiet was stunning and only disturbed by the bleating of sheep or the mooing of a cow The house is perfect and extremely well done. We felt totally comfortable and at ease. |

What an incredible home and location! We were so pleased with the clean and beautiful accommodations. The host met us at the house and reviewed all the ins and outs of the heating system and electricity, etc. Very roomy bedrooms with lots of closet space and a nice size bathroom. And, plenty of hot water! It was a dream to stay at the Lookout, because it was only about a mile from where our grandmother grew up. Stunning landscapes, too! Thank you for a very memorable stay. |

The Lookout was a great stay! Superb harbor views. Plenty of space for a family of four. Modern appliances and a lovely dining room overlooking the harbor. Thought the location was perfect—allowed for easy access to Slea Head Drive where roads are wide enough to travel it counterclockwise (e.g. access Blasket Center, Mulcahey’s Pottery, etc). Recommend John Benny’s and the Diner (both in Dingle), Murphy’s Ice Cream and the Coffee Walnut Cake at the Blasket Center “forced” us to make three trips there—best dessert we had whole trip. Also nearby was an awesome point hike—stunning panoramic vistas from Blaskets to Skelligs to 3 sisters. Also recommend a quick stop at the very close Dun An Oro historic fort. Not much remains, but very important historic site and it offers the best views of the harbor and Atlantic.

We stayed here for three nights over the recent June bank holiday weekend. We’re from Dublin. Its a lovely house overlooking the Smerwick harbour- serene does not do it justice. We have 2 little girls, who really enjoyed the house, and of course, Dingle, which is about 15 minutes drive away. There is a nice beach within a 5 minute drive, and several more within 15 minutes. The location is great. If you have little children bear in mind that the staircase is a bit dangerous (gaps between the stairs), but other than this, the place is wonderful. Highly recommend.

LIVING & DINING AREA
Off the entrance hall, the ground floor comprises a large open plan space, with lounge and dining areas to the front and back, with an impressively kitted-out kitchen in between. To the front, you first enter into a luxurious dining area with exquisitely upholstered comfortable dining chairs, for leisurely evenings dining in front of the window (oh, did we mention the view is amazing?), set off by chic pendant lights. A seating area to the front of the house is the perfect spot for a morning coffee or an aperitif. The decor is ocean-inspired, with elegant greys, blues picking up the colours of the sea.
KITCHEN AREA
The large kitchen is fantastically well-equipped for the keen chef, with marble top island, double Cuisinemaster range and gas hobs, and an American-style fridge with ice maker. The Belfast sink and chic grey cupboards paired with marble counters provide the perfect finishing touches to this stylish heart of the home.
Another dining area and seating area to the rear of the kitchen allow you to follow the sun from sunrise to sunset, watching it dip below the hills from here. The two separate dining areas are also great for families, leaving the kids their own space to tuck into a pizza while the grown-ups enjoy some more sophisticated dining!
A spacious and well-equipped laundry/utility room has access to the garden to the rear of the house. It’s equipped with a washer, dryer and plenty of storage, as well as a WC. This is a really useful area to leave all the gear after a day at the beach or out on the water enjoying paddle boarding or surfing.
LIVING AREA
Plush carpeted stairs lead up a few steps to the main cosy sitting room. Floor to ceiling windows are sure to distract your attention from whatever is on the super-sized television. For cosy nights there’s a stove…but if the sun is shining the balcony is sure to lure you outside.
BEDROOMS
A few more steps lead up to the four beautifully appointed bedrooms. The plush carpeting continues, complemented by restful duck egg blue paint and contemporary abstract art prints. To the back there is a double bedroom and a single room, both catching the evening sun and west-facing hill views.
Two double bedrooms to the front have mirrored sliderobes, views over Dingle Bay and Eask Tower (and blackout blinds for those who don’t want to see the morning sun too early!).
BATHROOMS
One bedroom is en suite with contemporary tiling and rain shower. There is also a shared family bathroom with rain shower and jacuzzi bath.
The bathrooms offer a calm, contemporary feel, designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. Beautifully presented with a clean, fresh aesthetic, they provide a welcoming space to unwind and refresh. Thoughtful finishes and elegant styling create a sense of understated luxury, making them a lovely addition to your stay.
OUTSIDE SPACE
The house has large gardens and plenty of parking space. Balcony terraces at the fronton the house provide the perfect spot to enjoy the views. Please not, this house is not wheelchair accessible as there are steps leading up to both the back and front doors.
