LIVING AREA
The spacious living/dining area has two French windows opening onto a balcony. A cosy L-shaped sofa, armchair and coffee table provide an area to relax in and there is a circular dining table to seat four. This open-plan area has wooden floors, lots of light and air, a TV with French and English news channels, DVD, music system, Apple TV, Google Chromecast as well as a Bose sound bar for the TV and via Bluetooth for personal music from any phone or tablet. There is High speed Fiber optic internet.
KITCHEN & DINING AREA
The kitchen is fully equipped to please a holiday chef should you decide to dine at home. It has an electric oven with 4 hobs, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, cafetiere, microwave and kettle.
BEDROOM
The bedroom looks out onto the courtyard and so offers a peaceful nights sleep in the Double bed (140x190). There are reading lamps, wardrobe space, a small balcony and the added luxury of reversible air-conditioning to keep you the right temperature whatever the season!
(If you wish to use the extra sleeping space provided, then the sofa-bed in the living room sleeps two. Please note, there is an additional cost (€46.50) for sofa-bed linen and towels which can be purchased when you book this property)
BATHROOM
There is a separate shower room with storage space and an illuminated vanity unit and also a separate WC. Both are elegantly tiled in white with beautiful period windows.
OUTSIDE SPACE
Brigitte spoils you with a balcony on both sides. A small one off the bedroom overlooks the inner courtyard and up to the trees on the Colline du Chateau and, a larger one off the living room looks down onto Rue de la Croix with its distinctive church tower and has chairs and a table for alfresco dining
LOCATION
The Old Town is the historical and geographical centre of Nice and so Brigitte is perfectly placed to access all areas of the city. Flanked on one side by the Promenade du Paillon, a beautiful park of fountains, greenery and a magnificent children’s play area, and the Colline du Chateau on the other, the Vieille Ville is also a stone’s throw from the beach and so really is a wonderful location. The colourful blend of yellows, ochres and terracotta gives the perfect holiday feel as you stroll around the narrow streets soaking up the atmosphere. It is home to small boutiques, a plethora of restaurants, cafes, bars and galleries; a veritable treasure trove of sights and sounds just waiting to be discovered.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses.
Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur.
Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port.
Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre.
Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.70 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.

Our first-time visit to Nice went without a hitch and we were delighted with our stay in apartment Brigitte. Situated in the vibrant heart of the Old Town, yet a mere six-minute walk to the beach, our accommodation lived up to every expectation.

Our first-time visit to Nice went without a hitch and we were delighted with our stay in apartment Brigitte. Situated in the vibrant heart of the Old Town, yet a mere six-minute walk to the beach, our accommodation lived up to every expectation.
Our journey from the airport to Nice Vieille Ville was stress free and we were met at the Cathedrale stop by agency local manager Rommelyn, a charming lass who led us to our apartment and explained the workings of it. We encountered not a problem during our visit, and must congratulate the new owners for the time and effort put in to make Brigitte stand out in a crowd. We enjoyed having two balconies, the rear hit by sunshine soon after 9.20am, and staying there until 2pm, when there was a sunless break of 30 minutes or so before it emerged on balcony 2, at the front of the block. The shower room was spotless. A pet hate on holiday is stepping into a shower for the first time and noticing mould on the screen or surrounds. Not so here. It was as clean as you might wish, and simple to use. Top marks all round. The kitchen earned a high rating, too, and came equipped with good quality appliances. The large fridge-freezer was well utilised on goods purchased just a two-minute walk away at Carrefour Express. Although the television had as many as 100 channels available, only a scattering were English language. We were not in Nice, however to watch TV, so Sky News sufficed nicely. The free wifi system worked a treat and was greatly appreciated. Shortcomings? Well, Brigitte lives three floors up, and there is no lift, so those with mobility problems should be aware. My wife and I are no spring chickens, however, yet lived to tell the tale. Easy does it worked for us, so there was no race to be first home. More or less directly below the apartment is the entrance to Theatre Francis-Gag. It is essentialy a venue for plays and concerts of jazz, pop and folk. Check out its schedule on arrival. |

You start by entering into this fantastic courtyard (of what was once an old monetary) that feels like you are living in a French movie and which only adds to your feeling if security as there is a locking gate on either end. The apartment is just as photographed only even more clean and the balcony can’t possibly show in photos all the amazing colors of the sky and the buildings of old Nice which surround it. The air conditioning was welcome and the kitchen had everything you could ask for to cook full meals. I really recommend Bridgett, you won’t be disappointed.

One of our favorite features of the apartment is that there are French doors and balconies on both sides of the apartment, flooding it with light and air. The building is well maintained and clean and access was easy. We highly recommend this apartment and would rent it again in the future.

Fresh apartment with all the amenities one could wish . The apartment is located in the old town but nonetheless disturbed not by some outside noise , it is however sensitive intermediate position units. The balconies were as one could imagine very small and it was just to sit two people. The range of restaurants in the old town was very good! We are very happy with our stay in Nice !

LIVING AREA
The open plan living area combines modern furnishings with traditional features with integrated air conditioning. Wooden floors and old timber beams are given a modern edge with grey, chrome and rattan in contemporary styled furniture and fittings. There is a sofabed for two, a single rattan chair and coffee table. If you need entertaining then there is a 19″ flat screen tv with French and English news channels, video, WIFI and Ipod docking station. The living area leads out to the balcony and the most magnificent views of the Old Town. There are double glazed French doors to keep out any noise from the street below.
KITCHEN &DINING AREA
The open plan modern cream kitchen area has a large fridge-freezer, washing machine, four ring hob , microwave and dishwasher. It is fully equipped with a kettle, cafetière and a large selection of cooking equipment.
There is a bistro bar table and two comfortable swivel chairs in the living area.
BEDROOM
The bedroom is situated at the quite rear of the apartment and although does not have exterior windows there is a glass brick wall letting in the light. There is a double bed (140×190) with two rattan side tables and bedside lamps. The room benefits from integrated air conditioning. A hidden wardrobe is housed in the living area.
(If you wish to use the extra sleeping space provided, then the sofa-bed in the living room sleeps two. Please note, there is an additional cost for sofa-bed linen and towels which can be purchased when you book this property)
BATHROOM
The contemporary bathroom is a striking mix of chrome, frosted glass and hues of grey tiling. There is a large corner shower cubicle, vanity sink unit and toilet. The washing machine is also house in the bathroom.
OUTSIDE SPACE
One of the most romantic balconies for two with the ambience of rooftops, glittering cathedral and french life buzzing below you.
LOCATION
Set in the heart of the Nice’s picturesque Old Town, with bustling streets packed with pasta vendors, bistros, boutique shops and wine bars. You’re just around the corner from the best wine cave in the Old Town and the Cours Saleya marketplace selling fresh local produce, flowers and antiques is a couple of minutes stroll away. The promenade and beach is only a touch further. Around the corner the breathtaking Place du Palais is a wonderful square with an ornate fountain set outside the Palais de Justice and is surrounded by Niçoise restaurants and a weekly market selling books and art.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses.
Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur.
Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port.
Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre.
Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.70 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.
