Anais is on a quiet backstreet in the Old Town (Vieux Nice). It is beautifully and sensitively renovated with a sleek modern kitchen and bathroom and contemporary French furnishings. LIVING AREA
The open plan living area boasts the now quite rare and traditional Niçoise red tommasse floor throughout, which keep the apartment cool in the summer. The lounge area is filled with light and even though spacious has a wonderful relaxed warm feeling about it due to the ample three seater sofa and two French style armchairs. Enjoy the 32” LCD TV (French & English channels), free WiFi and the selection of DVDs and library of books. (Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the disruption of internet access caused by internet providers)
KITCHEN & DINING AREA
The modern open plan kitchen has been renovated and features contemporary light grey tiling and work surface and glass and wood grain units. There is an electric four ring hob, combination oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils and crockery and there is also a toaster, kettle, and cafetière at your disposal.
The wooden dining table and chairs seat four people.
BEDROOMS
The master bedroom is a standard size double, it’s at the rear of the apartment. The furniture is all wood, there’s a a large wardrobe chest of drawers, it is positioned at the rear of the apartment. The twin room has two single beds(90cmx200cm).
BATHROOM
The bathroom is very modern and tiled in slate grey. Relax in the full size bath or enjoy the power overhead shower. There is a large vanity unit, towel radiator and toilet.
LOCATION
You are in the heart of the Old Town on the quiet charming side street of Rue de la Croix. Seconds away lie an abundance of bustling streets with restaurants, boutique shops, cafés and bars. Around the corner is the fish market and the most popular butchers shop in central Nice, not to mention numerous patisseries and boulangeries. The promenade, beach and fresh food market on the Cours Saleya are a 5 minute walk away.
PARKING
Closest parking: Parking des Arts (up on the Coulee Vert, Rue Jean Jaures / across from the Monoprix on Place Garibaldi).
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses.
Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur.
Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port.
Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre.
Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.70 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.

A very nice and clean apartment right in the heart of the Old Town. A few minutes walk from the bus station and 5 minutes away from the main market. You can arrange to meet at the apartment or bus station and you get a welcome pack including some fresh coffee and a bottle of wine which is a nice touch. It is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift so you need to be reasonably fit to tackle the stairs especially if you have a lot of luggage.

Our holiday in the south of France was one of our best ever, due in large part to our lucky choice of accommodation at the Anais flat in Nice. What a fantastic place! The location was absolutely ideal. It is in Vielle Ville (old town) but on an ideal block, just steps away from the vibrant street life, but set back enough so that the apartment is quiet. Everything is in very close walking distance: Place Massena, the beach, Cours Saleya, Gare Routiere, a local garage if you have a car.

The kitchen was well-equipped, and we were left wine, crackers, milk, coffee, etc. to get us started, which was very appreciated because we had been on a train all day and didn’t want to run out for groceries right away. We used the washing machine several times and it was very convenient! The woman who met us at the tram stop and showed us to the apartment was lovely and very helpful. The apartment was very clean and the furnishings were modern and comfortable. The location of the apartment itself is amazing – right in the heart of Old Town, and where all the action is! Great restaurants, great shopping, the beach and Cours Saleya are steps away… as is Fenocchio, the best ice cream in all of Europe. ?? We enjoyed our stay here tremendously, and would recommend it to all of our friends. Thanks, Simon and amanda!

A fantastic and charming apartment smack dab on a quiet street in the Vielle Ville (Old Town) of Nice. my wife and I and our two small kids (ages 3 and 5) thoroughly enjoyed the charming and cozy living room, modern kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms, and never felt like it was too crowded. The beds were comfortable – with abundant pillows and blankets, and the shower/tub was perfect. We were met at the nearest tram stop (Cathedrale – Vielle Ville) and taken to the apartment, where we found a bag of welcome goodies and some excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights in the area. Great light through the windows during the day, and not too loud in the evenings. We would absolutely stay at this apartment if we return to Nice – which we certainly hope to do soon!

Please be aware that at the airport the ticket machines only allow you to buy round trip tickets for 10€. To buy regular tickets (1.70€) you have to take the tramway from the airport to the next stop (grand Arenas) for free, get off the tram, buy the tickets (a card you can top up) at the machine and get on the next tram (be prepared for a line of people trying to understand how it works and up to 30 minutes waiting time). The best option is to download the app Ligne d'Azur buy tickets online and store them on your phone.
